Support for doulas & birthworkers

I’m very proud to be a doula course facilitator with Developing Doulas. I also run postnatal workshops for doulas covering essential topics such as the 4th trimester, sleep and weaning.

Doula preparation with Developing Doulas

My work as a course facilitator with Developing Doulas is in line with the ethos and mission to encourage doulas to develop a generosity of spirit that allows them to put their clients’ needs above their own and a willingness to empower others at the expense of their own egos.

We aim to foster an attitude that encourages doulas to support each other just as they do their clients – unconditionally, without prejudice; working to create and foster safe, brave and nurturing spaces for all.

Do you already find yourself holding space for others?  Do you have a natural empathy towards other humans, particularly around the transitional time of birth and parenting?

Postnatal Workshops

I regularly deliver workshops for doulas and birth professionals, exploring essential areas like:

  • The Fourth Trimester – understanding the diad, bonding and supporting the transition.
  • Evidence based and understanding normal infant sleep and development
  • Weaning to solids,
  • Supporting the transition from milk diet to solid food, and the long term relationship with food.

These interactive workshops are rooted in the latest research and real-world experiences, helping doulas enhance their skills and meet families’ needs with sensitivity and skill.
